I'm done with this place, DONE! Fry's will no longer get any of my business and I'll do my best to let others know that putting down money here is a big mistake. The repair and service department is PATHETIC!
Let me elaborate, my new Gateway desktop computer which I bought just this past summer failed to log on properly. So I sent it into the repair and service department at Fry's where I bought it, when at the time I bought the computer I also purchased there 3 years extended warranty.
So did Fry's service department to do wrong well, lets see:
- when I asked them to fix my computer they said that it was still under the manufactures warranty, cool...they "SAID" they would send it to Gateway. Problem : they didn't, I called a full month later and they told me something different, that they usually try to fix computers "In House" before they send it to the manufacture. WTF?! I'm being told 2 different things! It seems that they had my computer for an entire month before they did anything, and the things is, they wouldn't have done shit had I not called in and checked on them a month later!
- In my attempts to call the service department there was a point where I was placed on hold, 15 min. went by, 20 min. went by, 30 min. went by...WTF?! They put me on hold and forgot about me!!!! What a waste of my fucking time! So I hung up and called again, and was able to talk to a representative within 5 min., which confirms some fucker put me on hold and forgot!
- When my computer went down and since it was purchased within the year, I was eligible to get a loaner computer, I didn't know that when I asked for my computer to be serviced, it was only a month later when I called back that they offered it to me, why not offer it to me a month ago? Stupid idiots!

God I miss Circuit City, lets resurrect that and kill off Fry's!
